A colorful, stylized portrait of a seated woman by San Francisco Bay Area artist, Raymond Tom.
Tom was born and raised in San Francisco, California. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and was a member of the San Francisco Art Association. Tom is known for his imaginative and well designed paintings.
This work is a great example of the artist’s work, and dates from the 1940s. It has recently been reframed under plexiglass.
The paintings measures 14 x 10 inches sight size, and 21 x 17 x 1.25 inches overall including the framing.
It is signed by the artist lower right.
