Konrad Cramer - Farm Buildings
A colorful depiction of a tropical scene with huts by Eliza BK Dooley, most likely created while the artist was in Puerto Rico.
Dooley moved to Puerto Rico in 1904, and remained there until her passing in 1958. She was an American government official, artist, and writer who was appointed the US District Commissioner of Immigration and Naturalization Service in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1933.
Dooley created paintings and drawings depicting the landscapes and seascapes of Puerto Rico, and wrote several books and created at least two maps or Puerto Rico.
This work is a watercolor on paper.
It measures 12.25″ x 17″ sight size, and 20.5″ x 24.75″ x 1.25″ inches overall including the farming.
The farming is vintage, but most likely not the original frame.
The work is in good condition, and is signed lower right.
