John Burnside Tufts - Village Scene
A rare work of art by early California modernist, John Tufts.
John Tufts was an older artist when modernism became an option as an artist, as he was born i 1869. But Tufts embraced modernism and created works depicting social scenes and landscape similar to other early California modernist like Yun Gee, and Otis and Helen Oldfield. This work appears to depict a village scene in Mexico.

Great condition. Frame shows some wear.
